Piece by Piece – cardigan needed a friend, so I designed a matching sweater, which has the exact same idea. Start knitting pieces whenever you want, however you want just the way you like it at your own pace. The pattern has several different pieces, from which you can choose your very own favourites. There’s lace, cable, stripes and squares. There’s dashing pieces and restful and easy pieces. The pieces are connected to each other by knitting so no crochet hook needed. Piece by Piece sweater is finished with knitting the collar to the height you want and hem and cuffs have a tight and plain rib.
This is a perfect pattern to get rid of your leftovers, a perfect scrap yarn project. The pattern also tells you the yarn usage piece by piece.
YARN:
Borgo de Pazzi New Cedro / Drops Karisma 50 g/ 100 m OR Novita 7-veljestä 100 g/ 200 m OR other similar strength yarn
NEEDLES:
4–5 mm circular needles for knitting the squares and joining them together, depending on your personal knitting tension. (I would recommend using 80 cm circulars when joining the pieces together), 3 mm DPN’s for the sleeve ends and 3 mm 60 cm circular needle for the collar.
YARN USAGE:
Size 1 (XS-M): approx. 580 g pieces + 200-250 g joining + ribbing and collar
Size 2 (L-2XL): approx. 640 g pieces + 200-250 g joining + ribbing and collar
Size 3 (3XL-5XL): approx. 700 g pieces + approx. 250 g joining + ribbing and collar
GAUGE: Approx. 18 sts x 26 rows in stockinette stitch

MEASUREMENTS OF THE FINISHED SWEATER
Please note, that with the ribbing you can add a little length to the sleeves/sweater hem. Choose your size according to how much positive ease you wish to have on your garment. For example: Bust circumference 100 cm + chosen positive ease approx. 15 cm, pick size 2.
