Hilja-socks are knitted top down repeating variations of cable patterns all the way down. There are two options for calf size and an easy size chart which guarantees success for everyone.
If you knit these socks with thicker yarn they are completed in an instance.
Hilja-socks have an hourglass heel, but you can easily replace it with your favorite style of heel. Just keep all the stitches on the same needle and you get to continue to the bottom part of the pattern with ease.
Hilja-socks are chunky, cable-filled socks perfect for either snuggling on the sofa or worn when being active outdoors!
YARN: Jalovilla Pässi, Novita 7 Veljestä 100 g/200m or other similar strenght yarn.
KNITTING NEEDLES: 3 / 3.5 mm or suitable size of your choosing. If you are a tight knitter you might want to knit the cables with 4 mm needles.
YARN USAGE: Approx. 210- 240 g
GAUGE: Approx. 18 sts x 26 rows in stockinette stitch
SIZES: 37-42
Calf 1: 34-38 cm
Calf 2: 39-45 cm
