My love for knitting did not start from childhood. I come from a long line of lifelong knitters, but I only discovered the joy of knitting when I was pregnant with my first child and bored out of my mind! Sure, my family did try to force-feed the hobby to me when I was younger, but my personality and forcing me to do anything did not and will never work. 

Throughout the years I got more and more into knitting until I finally had the audacity to design my first pair of socks (and that was a while ago!). From that moment on the years have been filled with enthusiasm, inspiration, wonderful collaborations, stupid amounts of yarn and a whole lot of new designs, some of them quite advanced! Not to mention plenty of moments of nerves and self-doubt. 

You can never really be a finished knitwear designer and that’s one of the things I love about this job. You can always go a bit further with it, challenge yourself a little bit more and create patterns that are just a little bit better and more interesting than your previous ones. You all know that feeling of victorious joy when you’re standing on top of Mount Yarn holding a finished piece!
